Focus is an important instrument to change reality.

The meaning of focus:
Lit. : seen clearly and sharply (of an image).
Fig. : (1) perceived or understood clearly (of problems, situations, goals etc.), (2) an act of concentrating interest and activity on something.

Focus is adjustable and variable in the sense that we can focus on anything nearby or far away. Focus is limited in the sense that we can only focus at one thing at a time. Whatever we focus on gets attention and thereby is magnified. Research has shown that people who focus on one task are more efficient and successful than people who multi-task (From: Digital Dementia, Manfred Spitzer, 2013).

There is a limit to what your brain can handle in a certain time and space. The brain activity is distributed among all the tasks at hand, and that means the attention cannot be at the same level for many things at the same time. Activity by the 'Misty management principle' means that you have high activity in all directions. Unfortunately, it does not necessarily mean you make progress. This type of unsystematic activity may be discouraging for your success.

Focus is essential for success, and the main instrument to focus are goals.
