An affirmation is a declaration that something is right. It can be used to influence belief positively. A positive mental attitude will support success. More specifically, for us, an affirmation is a carefully formatted statement that should be repeated to oneself by reading or writing it frequently. For an affirmation to be effective, it should be formulated in the present tense, be positive, personal, specific, and credible/convincing.

An affirmation is like a mini-program working in your brain towards success. The repetition of the statement causes the effect. It puts yourself in gear and helps you to focus on going forward. The affirmation brings and keeps you in a positive and productive mood. Read more in:

How to use affirmations?

Put the affirmation someplace where you see it several times a day, for example on the mirror, on the door, in the kitchen, as a password, as a screensaver on your phone. Whenever you see the affirmation, read it or look at it and let it sink in.

How to create good affirmations?

You must accept or believe in the affirmation. Use some time to come up with a description that you agree with. Think about what this implies. What does it take to agree on the affirmation? If you cannot accept the affirmation, you should change it to make it fit.

The following list can be used to choose and define your own affirmation. You can also look into your favourite spiritual or religious texts. Please make sure to give the affirmation a personal touch.
